In Nestorinranta (Lintusalo, Puumala) on the Vetojako shore of Lake Saimaa, there are 3 boat berths for overnight stays. The places are located in sheltered southern piers. The price includes drinking water, electricity, toilets, showers (900 m away at the main building), barbecue shed, campfire site, dishwashing point and beach.
The price includes a boat that can accommodate up to 5 people.
The boat shore is located on the Rapeikko cape, on the western shore of Lintusalo, at the northern end of the island, along Vetojako. On the other side of Vetojako are Riutanniemi and Jänissaari. Coordinates: 61º, 25.8', 28º, 00.1'.
A fairway runs along Vetojako, going from Suur-Saimaa to Lietvesi, and from there via Vehkovirta and Lehmäinselkä towards Puumala. When coming from the north, you have to watch out for shoals, and navigate from Riutanniemi through the two markers (west and east signs) to the southern piers of Nestorinranta, where the boat berths are located.
When coming from the south, head from the fairway towards the end of Paskoniemi and from there directly to the southern piers of Nestorinranta.
A pier for bicycle ferries Norppa II and Rasti is located at the end of Rapeikko cape. You should not moor to this pier, unless you come in the evening and leave at latest in the morning. Ferries usually operate between 11 am and 5 pm, but in July they may have extra shifts in the morning or evening.
